How do the fields map?
Here is how these two products would appear in Shopify:
The product vendor will map from QuickBooks POS to Shopify. QuickBooks POS UPC will map to bar code. The QuickBooks cost field will map to the Shopify product cost field. Shopify items are marked as inventory items.
Product collections are mapped using a QuickBooks POS custom field called collections. To map another fields, such as department, follow these steps:
- Go to the Connex rules engine.
- Click action and add new rule.
- As the action, specify map product collection.
- As department as the field to compare and map all as the comparison.
- The other fields are arbitrary.
The product type field is mapped from the QuickBooks department field.
Can I mark products as unpublished?
By default, products will sync as published to the online store. To unpublish them, follow these steps:
Here is the end result:
What fields will not map?
Here is a list:
- Product dimensions because QuickBooks allows no developer to pull them from QuickBooks POS.

To map products to pictures, the picture must exist on the internet. With QuickBooks POS, the file exists on a file server. We recommend uploading pictures in Shopify.
