Authentication Failed

Here are some common issues with the web connector:

Could Not Create SSL/TLS Secure Channel

Possible Cause

You have a firewall issue that is causing the integration to fail.

Solution

Please contact your IT professional and allow https://www.connexforquickbooks.com/qbwebservice.asmx through your firewall.

QBWC1012: Authentication failed due to following error message.

The operation has timed out See QWCLog for more details. Remember to turn logging on.

Possible Cause

Connection credentials are invalid. Connex for QuickBooks reads the credentials from the QWC file. If you open it up on the desktop with notepad, you'll see credentials.

Solution

Remove old QWC and install new one.

  1. If the QWC file that you originally used to pair QuickBooks is located on the desktop or downloads folder, delete it.
  2. Open the company file that is paired with our solution.
  3. In QuickBooks, go to File > Update Web Services.
  4. In the web connector, select the check box next to the Connex for QuickBooks row.
  5. Click remove
  6. Login to connexforquickbooks.com.
  7. On the my connections page, click submit.
  8. In the address bar, type in https://www.connexforquickbooks.com/home/pairquickbooks.
  9. Download the QWC file.
  10. In QuickBooks, go to File > Update Web Services.
  11. In the Web Connector, click add application.
  12. Navigate to the QWC file.
  13. Click OK, yes (last one), and done.
  14. Click the update button.

Possible Cause

You are syncing too many orders at once with the web connector.

Solution

Sync fewer orders at a time:

  1. Login to connexforquickbooks.com
  2. At the my connections page, choose your connection and click submit.
  3. Under the transaction tab, scroll down to the export settings area.
  4. Choose a shorter date range.
  5. Click save and sync.
  6. Run the web connector.
