Inventory Site Mapping

Introduction

You can map a default inventory site for each line item in QuickBooks.

Default Inventory Site for All Items

Here are the steps:

  1. Login to connexforquickbooks.com.
  2. Click submit at the my connections page.
  3. On the configure page, click the advanced tab.
  4. Under inventory site, choose a site: 
  5. Click save and sync.

Here is the final result:

How do I map the site, based on the order's source warehouse?

In this example, the order source warehouse is B warehouse. We will map it to warehouse B. Login to Connex. Hover over the gear and click rules engine. Click advanced rules engine. Add these rules:

  1. Map To
  2. Map From

Add Inventory Site For Certain SKUs

Here are the steps:

  1. Login to connexforquickbooks.com
  2. Hover over the gear and click rules engine.
  3. Add a new rule.
  4. Enter these values for form 1.
  5. Enter these values for form 2.

Right now, only contains and does not contains can be compared. If you need more comparisons, please contact us.

Can I map an order tag to an inventory site?

Here are the steps:

  1. Login to connexforquickbooks.com
  2. Hover over the gear and click rules engine.
  3. Click the link advanced rules engine.
  4. Enter these values for form 1.
  5. Enter these values for form 2.

Can I map the selling channel name the inventory site?

Using this spreadsheet, you can upload several mappings at once. Here are the steps:

  1. Complete the spreadsheet.
  2. Login to connexforquickbooks.com
  3. Hover over the gear and click rules engine.
  4. Click the link for the bulk upload.
  5. Upload the spreadsheet.

My inventory site says unspecified site, but I have mapped it correctly.

 

Log into Connex. Click configure. Go to the inventory tab. Ensure that the sites exist in QuickBooks. If they do not, click refresh drop downs and follow the on-screen instructions. Connex can only apply the site for inventory and assembly items. If the parts came in as non inventory or service, it will say unspecified site.
